Islamic Religious Education for ordinary level in Uganda, paper 1 and 2 is written basing on the Revised Ordinary Level syllabus of 2008, however in November 2017 UNEB made some restructuring in IRE and this new edition is in agreement with such new changes, kindly observe them. This book is intended to provide students, teachers and other stakeholders in the teaching profession supplementary revision materials besides the notes they already acquired in their notebooks.

This book is written in a form of question answer method together with approaches of different questions so as to give a student wider exposure to different questions hence being able to apply such knowledge when it comes to their final examinations (Uganda National Examinations Board - UNEB).

The fact that these papers have 3 sections, all of them have been covered in regard to the teaching syllabus in a format of question and answer so as to enable students have a greater understanding especially through discussions when offered amongst themselves or with the proper supervision of the teacher.

The student will be required to attempt only four questions not 3 as it has been previously choosing not more than two from each section. All questions carry equal marks, extra question (s) attempted are not marked and the time duration for these two papers is now 2 hours. This means that a student has to calculate well his time, read carefully the instructions so as to pass well this subject with a distinction. Please note that the total numbers of questions set in each of these papers are 12. Finally, the author is answerable for any mistake (s) found in this book and would entertain positive criticism and suggestions for further academic development.
