Regional Geography of Uganda and Fieldwork Advanced Level Geography by Kichodo M. Henry
The Geography of Uganda has continued to change in the resent years hence the need to up-date information. The changes result from both natural and human induced phenomenon.The cimatic changes and resulting effects on natural vegetation, agricultural activities, lake and river levels, water supply and electricity generation are a case in point. Government policies of attraction of nvestors, exploration of minerals, modernization of agriculture and raising household incomes have all had an impact on the physical and human geography of Uganda in the recent yeas. The creation of many more new districts in the country is another change that cannot be over looked.
New books in the field of geography are being published regularly and in large numbers and it is no easy task to decide which are most suitable for the needs of the students. This book is published for use by the Advanced Level students offering geography. It follows the syllabuses set up by the National Curriculum Development Centre as well as the Uganda National Examinations Board. However, the book will also be beneficial to students from higher institutions of learning offering geography as a discipline.
Information has been presented in a thorough, straight forward and clear manner with local examples from our living environment. Sketch maps, diagrams and tables have been integrated to enhance the narrations.
