Basic Photograph Interpretation Skills for Secondary Schools presents guidelines on reading photographs to interpret geographical material of both physical and human nature.

Using high quality photographs, this book, among other things, describes what photographsare, discusses their types, and clearly demonstrates the different regions in a photograph. The last section of the book provides guidance for drawing annotated or landscape photo-sketches.

There are exercises and study activities at the end of every chapter. This is intended to encourage learners to write, draw and measure instead of just reading the book. The structure and design of the book (which largely use wide angle photographs)are intended to stimulatelearning and thinking and contributeto skills development.
