There has also been the re-organisation of the whole book because, unlike other subjects geography is a dynamic subject where geographical phenomenon keeps on changing from time to time. The latter necessities constant revisions of such vital geographical information.

This Edition has been comprehensively and systematically written basing on East Africa mainly various definitions of geographical phenomena have been attempted. Various local examples have also been given. This fulfils the UNEB requirement of always defining the phenomena and giving examples of areas in East Africa where they are likely to be found. However, this applies mainly to the section concerning Geomorphology. The examples of local phenomena in relation to Climatology, have been cited world-wide.
