ABOUT THE BOOK

Self-Study Agriculture, Advanced Level, Learner's Refer-ence Book has been designed as per the syllabus of advanced agriculture curriculum framework provided by national curriculum development centre (NCDC), Uganda. This book provides a learner-centred and activ-ity-based approach to learning, and aims to develop the basic concepts and practical knowledge in agriculture. It promotes learners application of agricultural knowl-edge in relation to what happens in their communities. It promotes acquisition of Higher-order Thinking Skills (HOTS) such as inquiry, creativity and innovation, decision-making, critical thinking and problem-solving. The detailed notes provide the leaner an opportunity to understand concepts at depth. Written in a simple and easy-to-understand language, the book smoothly guides learners through the basic as well as advanced concepts in agriculture.
