This fourth edition is a successor to the third edition and has been adapted to the changes in NCDC syllabus and UNEB question formats and guidelines.

Additional coverage has been given in existing chapters to topics such as basic science, soil physical properties, soil chemical properties, soil biological properties, animal products, farm structures, and simple machines. In addition, numerous clear and simple illustrations have been added to make the work more understandable to the learners. It has been my endeavour to present the content in simple and easy-to-understand language.
