DUCK AT LUNCH is the fifth book in the Oasis Sound Series (ranzophonics) and will help beginning readers master the short U sound. The series have been designed to give beginning readers of English as a foreign language the firm foundation they need to become skilled readers who love to read.

The book is systematically structured, with a simple introduction to the vowel sound, related word lists, phonetic story, phonetic song. and critical thinking activities. Additionally, key words are repeated several times in each book to help the reader build confidence while also obtaining a firm foundation for future reading success.
