Uganda youth praise

Introduction

This revised edition of (Uganda Youth Praise) Song Book has been effected by Centenary 

Publishing House Limited through the kind contributions of a committee comprising clergy and lay persons from the Scripture Union of Uganda; Bishop Tucker Theological College, Mukono, and Centenary Publishing House Editorial Staff. The Book's aim is to meet a growing need for meaningful praise and worship among the English-speaking congregations, particularly in schools and colleges. For this purpose, a good number of songs in modern English and various Ugandan local languages have been included, with a detailed index of the first lines. However, the theology in this book is still based on the tenets of the Anglican Communion. It is our hope that the simplified structure and modified language herein adopted will make this Song Book more usable among modern English and younger congregations. We strongly believe that this Song Book, used together during services with the recently revised Come and Worship, shall spiritually benefit the Christian and maximally help sus- tain his deeper awareness of and relationship with God.
