Daudi Goes to School

This reader highlights the need for peace in the family.

Daudi is an only son. Mr. Rwaka, Daudi's father, is a drunkard. Mrs. Rwaka, Daudi's mother does not get the assistance needed to keep the family happy.

Daudi cannot go to shool because there is no money for school fees.

Mrs. Rwaka asks her husband for money to buy food and take Daudi to school. This makes Mr. Rwaka very angry. He beats his wife. Daudi shouts for help. A policeman, an Imam and a priest come for help. They talk to Mr. Rwaka and advise him against drinking. He listens to the advice. He stops drinking and begins saving money. He sends Daudi to school and cares for the family. There is peace and happiness in the family.
