MK Primary English Course has been developed out of the apparent lack of comprehensive English books for the early learners. The course has been put together by a team of experienced classroom teachers and offers systematic breakdown of the syllabus. This approach makes the teaching and learning of English language easy.

MK Primary English Course covers all language aspects such as vocabulary, phonetics, structure patterns, dialogues, poems, rhymes, tongue twisters, riddles, plays, games, crossword puzzles, interesting picture stories, guided compositions, revision exercises and additional comprehension passages for extra reading.

The well illustrated compositions, based on the day-to-day experiences of the Ugandan child

make the course an interesting and motivating experience for the learners but at the same time rewarding for the teachers and parents. MK Primary English Course comprises of seven pupils' books with the accompanying teachers' guides.

The teachers' guides suggest a general layout of approaches to use for each particular language aspect. They provide easy-to-follow detailed lesson plans with specific objectives. Different systematic methods of teaching have been suggested for each lesson. There is a lot of additional information for the teachers and exercises for the pupils. The four language skills i.e. speaking. listening, reading and writing are emphasized in all lesson plans.

Whereas the pupil's book is learner-oriented in approach the Teachers' Guides is packed with content on each of the covered language aspects, and provides invaluable methodological units. It is hoped that teachers will find teaching simplified and enjoyable.
